Unlike traditional “one-size-fits-all” pillows, the Eden is stuffed with a proprietary blend of cross-cut gel-infused memory foam and microfiber.
The standout feature is its accessibility; the pillow features an inner liner that allows you to add or remove fill to reach your desired height and firmness. It is wrapped in a breathable cover made from a LAVA blend (polyester and rayon derived from bamboo). While it is marketed toward improving sleep posture, it is important to note that this is a consumer lifestyle product, not a medical device, and is not intended to treat or cure clinical cervical spine conditions.
Design Claims & How It’s Supposed to Work
The core philosophy behind the Coop Home Goods Eden Adjustable Pillow is “customizable alignment.” Here is how the design is intended to function:
- Gel-Infused Memory Foam: The Eden uses “cool” gel-infused foam pieces intended to distribute heat more effectively than solid memory foam blocks.
- The Gusseted Edge: Unlike the brand’s Original model, the Eden features a 2-inch gusset (a fabric ribbon along the perimeter). This design is meant to provide “edge-to-edge” support, preventing the fill from thinning out at the sides—a common complaint for side sleepers.
- Pressure Distribution: By using cross-cut pieces rather than a solid slab, the pillow is designed to contour to the specific shape of your head and neck, theoretically reducing pressure points.
By adjusting the “loft” (the height of the pillow), the user can theoretically achieve a neutral spine position, where the ears, shoulders, and hips are aligned.
