Finding a pillow that balances support with temperature regulation is a common struggle. Many sleepers wake up throughout the night to flip their pillow to the “cool side” or find themselves battling neck stiffness because their pillow is either too flat or too high. If you are a side or back sleeper searching for a way to improve your sleep posture, the Coop Home Goods The Eden Cool+ Adjustable Pillow is likely on your radar.
In this review, we will explore the design, comfort levels, and potential downsides of this adjustable pillow to help you decide if it’s the right fit for your bedroom.
What Is the Eden Cool+ Adjustable Pillow?
The Eden Cool+ is a premium ergonomic memory foam pillow designed specifically for head and neck support. Unlike traditional solid foam or down pillows, the Eden Cool+ uses a blend of gel-infused memory foam and microfiber fill.
As a consumer sleep accessory—not a medical device—it is marketed toward individuals who want a customizable loft (height) and a cooler sleeping surface. Its primary features include:

Independent Observations & Potential Considerations
While the Coop Home Goods The Eden Cool+ Adjustable Pillow receives significant praise, there are several factors consumers should consider before purchasing:
- Subjectivity of “Cooling”: “Cooling” in the bedding industry is relative. While the Eden Cool+ is designed to stay cooler than traditional memory foam, it is a passive cooling system. Room temperature and individual body chemistry will still play a major role in how the pillow feels.
- Adjustment Period: Switching to a contoured or adjustable pillow often requires a “break-in” period. It may take several nights of trial and error with the fill levels to find your ideal height.
- Maintenance: Because the fill is shredded, it may require occasional “fluffing” to prevent the foam from settling or clumping over time.
- No Clinical Validation: Like most ergonomic pillows, the claims regarding spinal alignment are based on general ergonomic principles rather than specific, peer-reviewed clinical trials for this exact product.
User Experience & Real-World Feedback
Feedback for the Coop Home Goods The Eden Cool+ Adjustable Pillow is generally positive, though experiences vary based on sleeper type.

- The Mixed Reviews: Some users find the process of adding/removing fill to be messy or tedious. Others have noted that the pillow can feel “lumpy” if the foam isn’t distributed evenly after washing or adjusting.
- The “New Foam” Smell: As with most memory foam products, a faint “off-gassing” scent may be present upon opening. This usually dissipates within 24 to 48 hours in a well-ventilated room.
Who Might Benefit & Practical Tips
The Coop Home Goods The Eden Cool+ Adjustable Pillow may be a strong candidate for:
- Hot Sleepers: Those who find standard memory foam too insulating.
- Combination Sleepers: People who shift positions and need a pillow that can be molded to different shapes.
- Posture-Conscious Users: Individuals looking to support their neck and head in a more structured way than down pillows allow.
Practical Tips for New Owners:
- The 15-Minute Fluff: Upon arrival, tumble dry the pillow on low heat for 15 minutes to help the compressed foam expand to its full volume.
- Save the Extra Fill: The pillow usually comes with a “bonus” bag of fill. Keep this in a sealed bag; you may find you want more loft after the foam settles after a few months of use.
- Care Instructions: Always follow the manufacturer’s guide for washing the outer cover to preserve the cooling properties.
Note: This pillow is a consumer accessory intended for comfort. If you suffer from chronic neck pain, herniated discs, or other medical issues, please consult a healthcare professional. A pillow should not replace professional medical advice or treatment.
