The primary appeal of the Krumbs Kitchen Silicone Dish Scrubber lies in its hygiene and convenience. Manufacturers claim it offers a “deep clean” without the nastiness of a traditional sponge. Here are the key features advertised:
- Soap-on-Demand: A central chamber allows you to dispense soap directly into the bristles as you scrub, theoretically saving time and detergent.
- Antibacterial Properties: Because silicone is non-porous, it doesn’t trap food particles or moisture, preventing the growth of mold and mildew.
- Gentle yet Effective: The flexible silicone bristles are marketed as being tough on grime but safe for non-stick pans, glass, and delicate ceramics.
- Ergonomic Design: The shape is meant to fit comfortably in the palm, reducing hand fatigue during long dish-washing sessions.
