The Hover Scrubber cordless mop (often sold under the Teko or Hoover Scrubber Omni labels) is an electric spin scrubber designed for residential floors and vertical surfaces like bathroom tiles.
Unlike a traditional mop and bucket that relies on physical “push-and-pull” force, this device uses motorized rotation to do the work. It is primarily used for:
- Bathrooms: Removing soap scum from tiles and tubs.
- Kitchens: Cleaning spills on laminate or vinyl.
- Hardwood/Laminate: Polishing and dusting large surface areas.

Real-World Performance
In testing, the Hover Scrubber cordless mop results are consistent across various home environments:
- Light-to-Moderate Dirt: It is highly effective for daily upkeep. It easily lifts fresh mud, pet dander, and kitchen spills.
- Heavy Buildup: It struggles with dried-on, “stuck” messes (like old syrup or dried mud). These often require a pre-treatment spray or multiple slow passes.
- Attachment Dependence: The performance on grout is vastly better when using the specific stiff-bristle brushes rather than the soft microfiber pads.

- Power Limits: Pressing down too hard triggers a safety mechanism that stalls the motor.
- No Onboard Water Tank: Most models require you to manually spray the floor or dampen the pads before use.
Who It’s Best For
The Hover Scrubber cordless mop is a “maintenance tool,” not a “restoration tool.”
- Best For: Individuals who want to keep their floors shiny with minimal physical exertion or homeowners with large expanses of tile/laminate that need regular dusting and light mopping.
- Not Ideal For: Deep restoration of neglected grout, outdoor concrete cleaning, or those looking to replace a heavy-duty steam mop for sanitization.
