6. Pros and Limitations
| Pros | Limitations |
|---|---|
| Significant reduction in physical labor/fatigue | Initial investment cost is higher than walk-behind units |
| Cleans and dries simultaneously | Battery life dictates a 4-5 hour hard limit per charge |
| Simple, intuitive control panel | Requires regular maintenance (squeegee flipping, tank rinsing) |
7. Who It’s Best For
The SM860 is ideal for regular facility maintenance. If you manage a space over 15,000 square feet that requires daily or bi-weekly cleaning, the ROI is clear. However, it is not a restoration tool; if a floor has been neglected for a decade, you will likely need a heavy-duty floor stripper before this machine can be used for upkeep.

The SM860 is effective on shallow grout lines. For deep, recessed grout, specialized cylindrical brushes are more effective than standard disc pads.

On average, the SM860 provides 3.5 to 5 hours of continuous run time, depending on the floor type and brush pressure settings.
Are they better than manual cleaning?
