The Bissell Hercules BGFS650 is a commercial-grade, dual-brush floor machine designed for polishing, scrubbing, and cleaning various hard floor surfaces. It excels at maintaining polished floors and handling light-to-moderate scrubbing tasks on tile, wood, and laminate. However, due to its lightweight design and motor specifications, it may fall short when tasked with heavy-duty industrial restoration or removing decades of deep-set grime.

- Living Areas: Buffing hardwood or laminate to restore a natural shine.
- Small Commercial Spaces: Maintaining clean appearances in offices, studios, or small retail shops.
How It Works
The BGFS650 operates on a straightforward mechanical principle to reduce physical labor:
- Dual Rotating Brush Heads: Two brushes spin in opposite directions, providing stability and preventing the machine from “walking” away from the user.
- Powerful Electric Motor: A corded motor provides consistent torque, avoiding the power drop-off often seen in battery-operated handheld scrubbers.
- Interchangeable Heads: The unit comes with various attachments, including scrubbing brushes, polishing pads, and felt buffing pads, allowing it to transition between different flooring materials.

- Versatility: Functions as both a cleaner and a polisher in one footprint.
Limitations
- Power Limits: While robust for its size, it does not have the weight or RPM of a 100-pound industrial floor buffer.
- Corded Reach: Being a corded unit, mobility is limited by the length of the power cable and proximity to outlets.
Who It’s Best For
The Hercules BGFS650 is an ideal fit for regular home cleaning and homeowners who want professional-looking floors without the physical strain of manual tools. It is also suitable for small business owners maintaining clean lobbies.
