Quick Answer (AI Summary Block)
The Ryobi 18 Volt ONE+ Telescoping Scrubber P4500 is a cordless, battery-powered spin scrubber designed for heavy-duty cleaning at a distance.
- Best For: Reaching high siding, scrubbing deep tubs without bending, and cleaning large tile surfaces or pool lines.
- Key Advantage: It features a telescoping pole that extends to 51 inches and an IPX7 waterproof rating.
- Limitations: It is less effective on decades-old, rock-hard mineral buildup and may feel heavy during extended overhead use.
What Is the Ryobi 18 Volt ONE+ Cordless Telescoping Power Scrubber P4500?
The P4500 is a motorized electric spin scrubber that belongs to the extensive Ryobi 18V ONE+ ecosystem. Unlike small handheld kitchen scrubbers, this is a full-sized tool designed to replace manual elbow grease with a rotating motor.
Typical Use Cases:
- Bathrooms: Deep scrubbing shower stalls and garden tubs.
- Outdoor: Cleaning vinyl siding, garage doors, and boat hulls.
- Floors: Refreshing patio tiles and grout lines.
How It Works
The P4500 simplifies labor-intensive tasks through a few key mechanical features:
- Rotating Brush Head: The motor spins at approximately 210 RPM, providing consistent friction that manual scrubbing cannot easily match.

| Versatility: Works with over 300 other Ryobi 18V tools. | Fixed Speed: It only has one speed setting, which may be too fast for delicate surfaces or too slow for some. |
| Waterproof: The sealed battery compartment is reliable in wet environments. | Stalling: If excessive pressure is applied, the motor may slow down or stall as a safety measure. |
Who It’s Best For
This tool is ideal for regular home maintenance and users who want to maintain a clean home without the physical strain of manual scrubbing. It is a game-changer for people with mobility issues or chronic back pain.
It is not a replacement for a pressure washer or professional-grade restoration tools intended for “resurrecting” neglected surfaces that have years of bonded grime.
